Questions
How is typing speed counted?
Like government exams: every 5 key presses (letters, spaces and marks) count as one word. Gross speed counts everything you typed; net speed counts only the correct letters.
What speed do I need for SSC and other exams?
SSC CHSL and many clerk posts ask for about 35 words a minute in English or 30 in Hindi. Court and steno posts may need more. Always check your exam’s notice.
How do I type in Hindi?
On a phone, add a Hindi keyboard (for example Gboard → Hindi). On a computer, add the Hindi (Inscript) keyboard in settings, or use Google Input Tools. This test checks Unicode Hindi.
Does it work for Krutidev or Remington?
Not yet. This test uses Unicode Hindi, which is used by Inscript and phone keyboards.
