How is the score worked out?
Score = right × marks per question − wrong × marks cut per wrong answer. Questions you leave get 0.
What is 1/4 negative marking?
For each wrong answer, one-fourth of the question’s marks is cut. In SSC (2 marks per question), 0.5 mark is cut for each wrong answer.
Should I guess?
With 1/4 negative marking, guessing hurts only if you are often wrong. If you can remove two options, a guess is usually worth it.
