How do I write an amount on a cheque?
Write the words from the “For cheque” box, like “Rupees Twelve Thousand Five Hundred Only”. Start close to the word “Rupees” on the cheque and end with “Only”, so nobody can add more.
Does it use lakh and crore?
Yes. It uses the Indian way: thousand, lakh, crore – like 1,25,000 = One Lakh Twenty Five Thousand.
Can I get it in Hindi?
Yes. The Hindi box shows the amount in Hindi words, like “बारह हज़ार पाँच सौ रुपये मात्र”.
What about paise?
Type the amount with a dot, like 1250.50. You get “… and Fifty Paise Only”.
Can it read the amount aloud?
Yes. Tap 🔊 Listen. Your phone reads the words. Hindi needs a Hindi voice on the phone (most Android phones have it).
